Jakarta (Djakarta News – RRI News)-Lawmakers decided to postpone the implementation of fuel restriction by March 2011. The final decision is approved by eight factions at the House of Representatives (DPR).

Commission VII demanded the government to complete study over fuel control in line with Law No.10/2010 on 2011 State Budget.

Seven out of eight factions nodded to the decision. On the other hand, one faction, the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), disapproved against the idea due to lack of comprehensive studies.

PDIP viewed that Article 7 section 2c of Law No.10/2010 on 2011 State Budget obligates the government to set up a study over the issue. As a result, the Indonesia Democratic Party of Struggle requested further analysis over fuel control of which result will be brought before the next session.

The Democratic Party Faction said yes to the policy as long as transportation sector is subject to more improvements.
