(RRI News – Djakarta News) - State oil and gas company PT Pertamina keeps on supplying fuel to Mentawai Islands at the post-tsunami situation. Pertamina also goes out for helping the disaster area by deploying volunteers and distributing aid.
Pertamina Corporate Communications Vice President, Muhammad Harun, said prior to the disaster, fuel supply has been fulfilled through one premium fuel, kerosene and diesel fuel agent (APMS) of which allocation is 200 kiloliters of premium fuel and 112 kiloliters of diesel fuel per month.
Harun said that to meet the demands of premium and diesel fuel in Mentawai Islands , Pertamina sends barges from Teluk Kabung fuel tanks to APMS which contain 10 kiloliters of premium fuel and 15 kiloliters of diesel fuel.
Pertamina also announced its plan to ship 11 kiloliters of premium fuel, 2 kiloliters of diesel fuel, and 20 kiloliters of kerosene on October 29.
