Jakarta (The Jakarta Post)- During Christmas and New Year holidays, Transjakarta busway is diverting more busses to serve tourism sites such as Ancol dreamland in North Jakarta and Ragunan zoo in South Jakarta.
Transjakarta supervisory manager Iqbal Gaffar told tempointeraktif.com that the company would add 10 more busses to the Harmoni-Ancol route, which currently operates with 58 buses daily. Meanwhile, the number of Transjakarta buses to Ragunan would be increased to 25 from 19 buses daily now.
Iqbal said that the Transjakarta buses serving the Harmoni-Antol route would pass Pecenongan, Juanda, Pasar Baru Timur, Jembatan Merah, Gunung Sahari Mangga Dua, Pademangan and Ancol.
Meanwhile, the buses serving Harmoni Ragunan would pass the National Monument (Monas), Bank Indonesia, Sarinah, Hotel Indonesia traffic circle, Dukuh Atas 2, Setiabudi Utara, Kuningan Madya Aini, Karet Kuningan, GOR Sumantri, DepKes, Patra Kuningan, Kuningan Timur, Mampang Prapatan, Duren Tiga, Imigrasi, Warung Jati, Buncit Indah, Pejaten Philips, Jatipadang, SMK 57, the Agriculture Ministry and Ragunan.
Iqbal warned, however, that the buses to those tourism sites would stop operation at 6 p.m.
